Drawing Hair

I forgot this guy's name...I just cut up interesting faces from the daily newspaper and store them away in my file for sketching.I worked on this face today morning,the first thing I do in the morning now is to draw...I draw for about 45 minutes...with the music on...I love it...I always had a problem with drawing hair...I would either just draw lines or just scribble it off, guess my left brain couldn't handle it...but today I just went ahead and drew the hair...

I could see my left brain struggling momentarily before it gave way and my right brain took over gleefully...Drawing hair is not that difficult...What is difficult is seeing...how can one draw hair if one totally avoids looking at all the fine details ???

I just did that I looked long at the hair and I said to myself "Yes I want to draw that", for a second there was doubt if I could draw the hair I have never drawn hair before...But I went ahead and looked deeply at the lines,shadows,contours...I saw !!! I saw such rich details and I drew them as I percieved it...Now I feel confident that I can do it...I wanna draw more hairy drawings from here on...
